• Core strengthening to aid movement and spinal posture

• Reduce any hypertonicity of medial hindlimb musculature 
• Improve pelvic stability
• Functional exercises such as correct sit to stands, polework

• Maintain even muscle mass
• Reduce pain flare-ups 
• Adapt exercise programmes as disease progresses

• Encourage early limb use
• Pain management - cryotherapy, PEMFT
• Maintain hip range of motion - periarticular fibrosis required to stabilise the joint, but if joint not mobilised, hip and limb stride will be restricted long term causing lameness 
• Owner education on home management and exercise 

• Improve weight bearing via weight shifting, slow lead walking, polework 
• Restore muscle mass via weight shifting, polework, sit to stands 
• Normalise gait - to maximum extent 

• Progressive strengthening via advancing remedial exercise as required 
• Functional movement
