Feline Physiotherapy with RVP

Cats are incredibly agile, but they are also experts at hiding chronic pain. Feline physiotherapy is a gentle, specialised service designed to keep your cat nimble and pain-free, particularly as they enter their senior years.

Common Conditions We Support:

  • Osteoarthritis: Often missed in cats—look for reluctance to jump or changes in grooming.
  • Injury Recovery:  such as Fractures or soft tissue trauma.
  • Neurological: Supporting coordination and nerve function.

How The Session Runs:

We understand that for a cat, "Physio" can sound like "Vet," and "Vet" can mean "Stress." Our goal as ISFM accredited cat friendly professionals is to change that narrative by working entirely on feline time.

  • Vet Liaison: We handle the admin! We contact your vet for history and consent to ensure a safe, multi-disciplinary approach.

  • The Settle Period: We don’t walk in and immediately touch your cat. We spend the first 15 minutes chatting with you while your cat observes us from their safe space (whether that’s a high shelf or under the sofa).

  • Scent Exchange: We allow your cat to investigate our equipment and our scent on their own terms.

  • Comprehensive Assessment: We observe your cat  jump, stretch, and groom before we ever lay a hand on them. Then, we check soft tissues, joints, spine, and neurological responses.

  • Treatment: Think "Pet Pilates" combined with soothing manual work and advanced tech like LASER or pulsed electromagnetic field therapy.

  • The Plan: You’ll receive a tailored home exercise programme via Equicantis, featuring clear video instructions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at rechargevetphysio@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

This is where our consent based approach comes in. We prioritise your cat’s autonomy. If they aren't in the mood for manual massage, we can use non-invasive tools like LASER therapy or focus on "environmental enrichment" (changing how they move around your home) to help their joints.

Yes, as long as your policy includes "Alternative" or "Complementary" therapies. We recommend checking your policy limits, but most owners find the claiming process very straightforward. We don't charge for processing claims.

Yes. Cats are masters at hiding illness, so we always work alongside your vet to ensure there isn't an underlying medical issue that needs addressing alongside physiotherapy.

Don't worry! We are used to "under-the-sofa" assessments. We use this time to observe their posture from afar and talk through home adjustments you can make to help them feel more comfortable.

Yes, absolutely. We believe that the work you do between our visits is where the real transformation happens.

To make this as easy as possible, we use Equicantis, a leading clinical management platform. Following our session, you will receive a digital link where you can access:

  • A Detailed Report: A summary of our findings, including muscle tension areas and movement assessments.
  • Step-by-Step Exercise Plans: No more trying to remember exactly where to place your hands!
  • High-Quality Videos & Diagrams: Clear visual demonstrations of each remedial exercise to ensure you are performing them safely and effectively.
