Hello!
I’m Lana, the face behind of Recharge Veterinary Physiotherapy, and this is our RVP story.
RVP was born out of a pandemic, fuelled by passion, and driven by purpose.
In 2020, just after graduating as a veterinary physiotherapist, I stepped into the profession during one of the most uncertain times — the COVID-19 pandemic. I began my journey working at an incredible independent primary care veterinary practice, where I set up my first physiotherapy clinics. It was there that I saw the potential of physio to transform lives — not just for animals recovering from injury or surgery, but for those living with chronic pain or mobility issues.
I later moved into a specialist referral setting, working with orthopaedic and neurological cases in both physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. What became clear to me was this: too many animals weren’t getting the aftercare they desperately needed. Whether it was due to lack of awareness, misinformation, or fear that their nervous rescue dog or cat "wouldn’t cope with physio," animals were falling through the cracks.
At the same time, many vets didn’t fully understand the role of physiotherapy or how to identify properly accredited professionals. And many owners simply didn’t know physio was even an option — or how life-changing it could be.
So I set out on a mission:
👉 To make sure every pet has access to high-quality, compassionate physiotherapy.
Our consent-based approach puts the animal first. We work to build trust and confidence, so they can actively participate in their own recovery — not just tolerate it. The results are incredible, and the feedback from owners speaks for itself - just check out our testimonials.
But physical healing doesn’t happen in isolation. I noticed a recurring theme: animals struggling with anxiety, overwhelm or frustration couldn’t progress, no matter how good the treatment plan was. That’s why I developed our Movement & Lifestyle Consultations — a 360° view of a pet’s physical and emotional wellbeing, combining expert physiotherapy with a holistic understanding of their daily life and breed needs.
Today, I also work with vets across the UK, helping them understand how to integrate physiotherapy into their treatment programmes for better long-term outcomes.
Because every pet deserves a future filled with comfort, confidence, and movement.
